Saint Louis Shopping

Additional Shopping Spots

The following are other major shopping stops besides Union Station and St. Louis Centre (which were previously described in the "Downtown" section).

St. Louis Galleria: An elegant environment with a world-class art collection, imported marble floors, acres of soaring skylights and a virtual garden paradise, the 1.2 million square foot shopping "city" offers 180 specialty shops, 18 restaurants and a 6-screen theatre. 10 minutes west of downtown.

Plaza Frontenac: This elegant and distinctive indoor shopping mall houses Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman-Marcus, and other extraordinary stores. 15 minutes west of downtown.

Northwest Plaza: Largest shopping center in the region with more that 150 specialty stores, theme restaurants, multiplex cinemas and a family fun center with a miniature golf court. 25 minutes northwest of downtown.

Westport Plaza: In a Swiss Alpine Village setting, you'll find hotels, cozy European-styles boutiques, ethnic cuisine and nightlife just 20 minutes west from downtown.

Crestwood Plaza: Nice shopping center with over 100 specialty shops. 20 minutes southwest of downtown.

Kirkwood Shopping District: Many specialty shops, restaurants, and nightclubs on Kirkwood road. Leave the railfan at the park across from historic Kirkwood Station in the heart of this area (or at the railroad hobby shop down the block) and go shopping! Just 20 minutes west of downtown.

St. Clair Square: Nice shopping center with over 100 specialty shops on the Illinois side of the river. Only 15 minutes east of downtown.

Downtown St. Charles: Quaint shops in the historic setting of downtown St. Charles, about 30 minutes northwest of downtown.
