Six Flags Over Mid-America: Over 100 exciting rides, spectacular shows and a world of fantasy awaits guests of all ages.

Casino Queen: A notable stop on the Metrolink, the Queen offers games of chance, fine dining and riverboat cruises on "old man river" just across from Downtown St. Louis.

Grant's Farm: A wildlife preserve operated by Anheuser Busch with free admission, guests take trams through the farm, which was originally owned by General Grant, to view historic native wildlife, other animals, and the famous Busch Clydesdales. Guests are invited to sample some Busch products before they leave.

The Magic House - St. Louis Children's Museum: An exciting, unique, hands-on museum where you can explore, share, create, discover, pretend, experience and have fun.

MBG Butterfly House: A public natural habitat dedicated to the education of butterflies, it is a "crystal palace" filled with thousands of butterflies in free flight.

Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site: The site of the largest prehistoric Indian city north of Mexico, archeological finds date from 700 AD to 1400 AD.

Fairmont Park: Thoroughbred and harness racing in Collinsville, Illinois. Minutes from downtown, accessible via Interstates 70 and 255.

Alton Belle Casino: Gambling cruises and dinner on the upper Mississippi. First casino in the St. Louis area.

Westport Playhouse: This theatre-in-the-round features top musicians, comedians and musical theatre performances.

Verizon Wireless Amphitheater: Top-named artists perform at this 7,000 reserved seat and 1,300 lawn seat venue with a state-of-the-art sound system and four video screens.

Raging Rivers WaterPark: Play in water. Pick your attraction: Breaker Beach, Itty Bitty Surf City, Treehouse Harbor, Shark Slide, Runaway Rafts, Swirlpool, Trickle Creek, or  Cascade Body Flume.

St. Louis Car Museum: The largest car museum in the Midwest, with over 150 cars displayed in a showroom that covers 55,000 square feet over 5 acres. There’s a wide variety of cars from nearly every era.

Gateway International Raceway: CART, NHRA, and NASCAR racing.

National Museum of Transportation: This museum contains an unparalleled collection of widely varied prototype engines, freight and passenger cars, maintenance of way equipment, and traction, as well as other forms of transportation (boats, planes, cars and that kind of stuff). Over 300 different exhibits, including a Union Pacific Big Boy, DD40X, GG-1, Rock Island Aerotrain, Reading camelback, the GM demonstrator FT, a Santa Fe "Santa Fe", Burlington Zephyr and the famous operating Frisco 1522 mountain.

Bigfoot 4x4: Visit the home of "the original Monster Truck," and enjoy numerous displays, including the world's largest pickup truck.

Purina Farms: Explore the special relationship between man and domestic animals. Features live pets and domestic animals, educational displays, videos, hands-on activities, and live animal demonstrations. Free admission and parking. Gray Summit, Mo.

Laumeier Sculpture Park: This park is open every day from 8am to one half hour past sunset and features walkways and trails, including trails through wooded areas, connecting 88 outside sculptures.
